Crypto Trading Is Live On Robinhood As They Take Users To The Moon

Today is the day that Robinhood, the fee-less stock trading application, starts rolling out cryptocurrency trading to new users.

And they launched with a comical video showing users going to the moon.

Here’s the video:

While this video is pretty great, this is a big moment in the cryptocurrency realm.

Robinhood Starts Crypto Trading Rollout

Bitcoin has been having a few crazy months.

Besides moving from around $900 last year to over $20,000, a feat that the stock market has never seen, there has been some rocky terrain in the recent month.

Bitcoin has moved from that high of $20000 all the way to $6000 and has finally stabilized around $10k – 12k.

On the other hand, Robinhood has millions of users.

In fact, over 1 million users immediately registered for trading cryptocurrencies on their platform when the waitlist was released.

Coinbase, in the U.S., is one of the only friendly ways for users to start buying, holding and trading cryptocurrencies.

As Robinhood joins the mix, we may see a plethora of people start to take cryptocurrency seriously and get involved.

Here’s some of what they had to say on their medium announcement (1):

“Check your inbox, because the first set of Robinhood customers can buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum with Robinhood Crypto, starting today. All your investments, commission-free, on one platform. We are gradually rolling out access to Robinhood customers residing in California, Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana, and New Hampshire, and look forward to releasing crypto trading functionality in many more states later. In the meantime, all investors on Robinhood can monitor and track market data for 16 cryptocurrencies.”

Will we see Robinhood help bring cryptocurrency to the moon?

Only time will tell.

For now head over to https://crypto.robinhood.com to get early access to crypto trading on their platform. #Dontsleep

We will see you all on the moon,
